A pass alone does not open a gate. The holder must also be a departing passenger with a valid boarding pass, so the gate asks for both: scan the boarding pass, then scan the QR pass within 15 seconds. A pass that is cancelled, expired or outside its zone is refused at the gate and the passenger is directed to a validation kiosk.

How the holder presents the pass
Two scans at the gate. The passenger scans their boarding pass, the display shows "Scan your pass", and the QR must follow within 15 seconds from the same device — which confirms the holder is a departing passenger. Choosing kiosk validation instead routes every pass holder to a staff desk.

Delivery

20 passes will be generated with random, non-sequential IDs prefixed AOTFT: and emailed as one PDF. Nothing is printed or stored beyond the pass record — a pass can be cancelled at any time before it is used, and cancellation takes effect at the gate immediately.
